BatteryDEV is excited to announce as a data partner for the upcoming BatteryDev Hackathon, QuantumScape! QuantumScape is providing a huge dataset of Electrical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) spectra from batteries and components in a wide range of conditions. This dataset is one of the largest and most diverse sets of EIS spectra ever shared publicly, and we hope it opens the way for some major advances in understanding and modeling of EIS spectra for lithium batteries.

I look forward to seeing the creative approaches the BatteryDEV community will develop to automate high-quality EIS analysis. It’s an area ripe for new approaches inspired by machine learning and modern data analysis techniques.
